For the past several months, Kanye West has been sporting a new moccasin like shoe in various colors. I’ve seen a few sarcastic posts about Yeezy wearing moccasins but the shoe is in fact an extremely well made and quite pricey hybrid sneaker called Visvim.
Kanye has seemed to take a real liking to the shoe as he’s been seen sporting them on a number of occasions. I personally like the shoe! Very minimalistic design and they look super comfy.
Visvim is the brainchild of Hiroki Nakamura, a Japanese fashion and shoe designer and the founder and head designer of VisVim. His work has long been associated with the recent movement by Japanese designers toward environmentally friendly and casual designs.
These crafty little sneakers aren’t cheap either. But I guess you can’t expect them to be if Mr. West wears them every day. They’ll set you back anywhere between $500-$900 depending on where you get them and the style you choose. They may be worth the investment though!
Probably the most famous Visvim silhouette of all time, and one of the most iconic footwear designs of the past decade, the FBT returns with Calico print backed corduroy used for its removable fringe. As always, the FBT is made using a combination of natural materials, and modern technology, providing unparalleled durability and comfort to the wearer and featuring the kind of expert finishing and meticulous attention to detail we have come to expect.
- Premium UK Cowhide Suede Upper
- Antique Brass Stud Detail
- Removable Corduroy Fringe
- Hand Sewn Moccasin Toe
- Hand Stamped Cross Design
- Stream Lined custom Vibram Sole Unit
- Unlined for Improved Airflow
Take a look at Puma Sky Wedge Reptile Women’s Sneakers. Cute, right? If you’re anything like me, I love heels and there really is no substitute for them. However, over the last year or so different designers have made an attempt to give women a heel option but with a little comfort. Puma is amongst the many designers that has created a fabulous wedge for us stylish women that do not want to sport a flat but not necessarily an uncomfortable heel either. This is definitely the best of both worlds. Especially for traveling or for active days for errands, etc. Continue Reading →
This spring and summer we’ve watched the likes of Kim Kardashian, Ciara and LaLa, Jennifer Hudson and Jessica Chastain strut their stuff in these super fab Givenchy Knee-High Sheath Boots. When I first saw them, I Kim was wearing the black ones with the gold shark lock with a short leather skirt in Hawaii with her boo, Kanye West, and from the looks of the photo, it was super hot outside. So, unfortunately I wasn’t feeling them all that much because of the surroundings. I’m not a fan of leather and tall boots in the summer time. But hey, that’s just me. It just didn’t seem like appropriate attire. But now, they’re totally season appropriate. I think these are best paired with something short, either shorts or a cute skirt or with a cute pair of skinny jeans.
So far I’ve seen them in black, tan, brown and even a suede and leather version, with a few slight variations. The red pair, however hasn’t seemed to be as popular as the other colors like tan or black but the red is by far my favorite. Brandy actually rocked the red pair back in Sept/2012 for a performance when she released her Two Eleven album. She looks cute. (pics below) Continue Reading →
Gianvito Rossi. Absolutely beautiful. This Geometric Cutout Bootie Sandal from the Fall/Winter 2013-14 line is to die for. I saw both of these on Barney’s website and couldn’t decide which one I wanted to post about, so I asked my friend, Ja’Miel, which he thought I should post about and he suggested I write about both! Which was a fantastic idea, because both are so fly. Why choose one when you can have both, right? Each sandal is a suede open toe bootie sandal designed with geometric cutouts and contrast smooth leather insets. Finished with a silver-tone back zip.
Since Fall is practically here already every fab and fly chick needs some really fly booties for Fall. I definitely needed to share these. Now these aren’t for the faint at heart. You will need to open your purse pretty wide for either of these purchases, but Gianvito Rossi is an amazing designer and I think it’s worth it. I would personally rock these summer, spring or fall and maybe even winter as long as I had tights.

Skateboarder Stevie Williams released a new blue Supra, accurately named S1W: Kind Of Blue. His signature S1W mid top sneaker is a powerful mixture of street fashion and high performance skateboard footwear. On the board, you’ll notice the comfort and responsiveness immediately thanks to the unique SUPRAFOAM footbed in the cored out cup sole that is thinner at the toe for increased board sensitivity, yet thicker in the heel for comfort and impact protection. Regarding the style—as Stevie likes to say, “It’s a dope shoe that looks good on and off the board.” Two new S1Ws—studies in the key of blue—have been added to the collection: Continue Reading →

I’ve seen this fabulous “invisible shoe” periodically over the past few months and said I was needed to share it with you guys….and forgot. I recently ran across this ridiculously #fabandfly shoe again and I HAD to write about it. The concept is pretty fly for those of you that are into art. Because every bit of this shoe is a masterpiece.
The invisible shoe is the brainchild of Sao Paulo, Brazil native, Andreia Chaves. The brilliant designer’s work captured the attention of international media even before her graduation from Polimoda Fashion Institute in Florence, Italy in 2010. Her critically acclaimed first series ‘InvisibleShoe’, launched in February 2011, has been featured in leading fashion publications and international exhibitions, and is collected by some of the greatest patrons of contemporary fashion.
Andreia Chaves is best known for her innovative and distinctive visual approach, fusing craftsmanship, experimental materials and cutting edge technology to realize her footwear designs.
Now working between Europe and Brazil, Chaves is also an international design consultant.
I think her creations are amazing! To find out more about the invisible shoe and Andreia Chaves, you can visit her site and take a look at her work here http://www.andreiachaves.com

I found about Bluefly in 2001. I bought my first Prada handbag from there. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was at my desk surfing the web, (like I did almost everyday even though it was against the company’s policy) and I somehow ran across the site. bluefly.com. I was mesmerized at how much of a bargain things were! I was (and still am) a total handbag fanatic so I immediately went to the handbag clearance section for women. Pure bliss.
I’m sure most of you have not only heard of Bluefly by now. Whether you’ve Continue Reading →
